PhillCo invites all interested persons living in Phillips County to attend this public meeting. Learn how Cooperatives can help rural communities take on new economic development projects to solve local needs.

Michael Peters, Montana Cooperative Development Specialist with Bear Paw Development will be in Malta on Monday, August 19th to share basic information on the types of cooperatives and how they can best serve a community.


Meeting Details:

When: Monday, August 19, 2019

Where: Great Northern Hotel Lodge Room

Time: 12 noon – 1:30 pm


The meeting will start with no host lunch at 12 noon in the Lodge Room of the Great Northern Hotel with the basics of cooperatives shared by Mr. Peters.

Following this, a 1pm a brainstorming session will be facilitated by Anne Boothe to discuss local needs that could be resolved under the cooperative model.  All interested persons are invited to learn and be part of the discussion.

A draft of an ongoing study on Cooperative Daycares will be reviewed along with how Rural Investment Cooperatives can inspire communities to take on local projects to solve needs.
